Herbie’s Burgers opened in Schenectady at 175 Jay Street on Monday, Aug. 21, marking the chain’s sixth location.

In addition to several burger options, the business serves up three different styles of French fries and a dozen tantalizing milkshakes, including chocolate, banana, and strawberry.

Among its most popular selections, according to Yelp, is the Double Cheeseburger, made with two grass-fed organic beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, and pickles served on a potato bun.

Most burgers come with “Nerdy Sauce,” described as a combination of classic burger condiments and a few spices.

“Without giving the whole thing away, it is mayonnaise based,” reads the website.

New customers are warned to pack their patience for their first visit as food is made-to-order.

“So if there's a long line, it might take a little longer than your typical fast-food experience, but trust us, it's worth it,” reads the website.

Days into business, the new location has already garnered high praise online.

“The food at Herbie’s was so yummy, especially loved the fries and their nerdy sauce,” Norah O., of Oneonta, wrote on Yelp

“The atmosphere is great and I think it’s great they’re open so late at night. Definitely will be a good drunk munch.”

Herbie’s Burgers is open daily, with the Schenectady location slinging burgers from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Find out more on its website.
